This is probably what a lot of you have come on here to see. You may have already seen the photos I took last time I visited Woburn Safari Park of him when I visited in November last year in this post. But I couldn't help but go along to Woburn and see him on one of my days off last week.
He really is a complete stunner and looks absolutely magnificent. He is a superb golden colour and his mane is really starting to develop now as well as his tufts on his belly. I really cannot wait to see how he looks when he is fully grown but he really is going to one to look out for. Kasanga is a perfect individual in his looks to become Woburn's brand new breeder, he will definately father cubs at Woburn, we will just have to wait and see as to how the pride make-over is then like afterwards. I strongly doubt that the three castrated boys will tolerate him however with the overnight paddock I cannot see why they can't be seperated if they do then I also cannot see why a new paddock outside cannot be built for them as the reserve is definately big enough. Well enough of me talking because i'm sure all you want to see are the pictures! As you can see he is a right poser and I really did enjoy taking all of these photos, it will be great to see him in the reserve properly one day with all the females around him.
Kasanga's future may be filled with promises but just remember that he is still very young, only about two/three years old so he has still got a lot of maturing and growing to do yet. But I have no doubt that the females will take to him. There will be cubs playing in the lion reserve once more, but just give it a couple of years I think.
Cheers
James
