Here are my latest set of photos taken at Linton Zoo on the 14th April 2012. Zuri and Safi were both pretty active all day which gave me some really good photo opportunities so I hope you enjoy these photos, There are a lot of them!

Hi All, and welcome to Just Lions, my blog.

My love of lions has been a life long passion and in the January of 2012 I decided to share it with everyone through the form of this blog.

This blog allows me to share all of my pictures from my visits to different collections as well as information on all individuals held in them.

However there is a focus to this blog. I have known a particular pair of lions at Linton Zoo, Zuri and Safina since they were cubs. This has lead me to seek out and become a trainee zookeeper at Linton Zoo, a position that I am incredibly lucky to hold, and I am now able to see them every day of my working life, and I must admit every break and lunchtime is spent with them.

So here you go, all of my pictures of all these lions for you all to see, welcome to my passion. This blog is unique, and it will be very personal, because I see these lions as more than just animals, this planet belongs to them, and we are very lucky to share it with them. I am incredibly lucky to have known Zuri & Safi since I was 12 and they themselves only cubs, it has a bond that has taken many years to build and something very precious.
