Turkana & Mana, Ten years on.

Turkana and Mana, resident pair of African Lions at Paradise Wildlife Park shown here. This pair were the first lions that I ever saw, and this set of photos is taken exactly ten years after my first visit (see the two photos on an earlier post) As you can see, Turkana is now looking a lot older with a very dark nose, and his mane is loosing a bit of colour.

Riziki - August 2011

Riziki appeared to be having great fun in the morning, trying to get something out of his tree, and I just about caught him in the act! These photos were taken late August 2011. There are more photos below showing him lying down with Karla.

Zuri - August 2011

Zuri aged five years and one month taken in late August 2011, possibly a few of my favourite pictures of him, here he is fully grown, mane and all! What a superb looking individual, with such a different look to Linton's other male lion Riziki.

Karla - April 2011

A set of photos of Karla, taken in April 2011. It is very hard to take photos of Riziki and Karla due to the two sets of fencing that double on each other, so unless they are far away taking decent photos is nearly impossible! Here you can see she is very fluffy around the neck, this is due to her being on contraception due to her and Riziki having bred three litters already.

Well here is I have to say, one of my favourites! This is Safi at her best last August, Seems like all the years of visiting has worked, and that she does recognise me, I am very lucky indeed!
