Riziki & Karla Enclosure Study

So I thought it would be quite interesting to have a good detailed look at the enclosures that the lions are kept in. So I have started here with Riziki and Karla's enclosure. It was built in the late 1970's/early 1980's to house Linton's second pair of lions Lucy and Jaspa. They bred in this enclosure and the last of their cubs Lily, passed away in 2002, this then gave way for Riziki and Karla who arrived when just a few days old in July and August 2003. The enclosure has two dens at the back, one for each lion. The enclosure itself is flat and has a central platform with loads of vegitation around it along with a few rocks. All in all a nice enclosure and given its location could be easily extended to at least make it a third bigger than it already is, so the enclosure still has a future.
