Zuri & Safi - 29th June 2012

So once again another set of photos from a day at the zoo. Here you can see Zuri and Saf coming out to say hello.

They really are a fantastic looking pair, and Zuri really does look the part now, however he is still a big soppy and still comes up to the fence and gives a head rub to say hello. So I really am incredibly lucky to have a fully grown male lion to come and say hello to me.

As shown by the last photo Safi is never happy with me when I leave!

So here are all my photos from the week so far, many more photos will be taken and posted next week!

Cheers

James

Zuri & Safi - 28th June 2012

Another set of photos from this week, showing Zuri and Safi on Thursday. As you can see having been fast asleep in the morning they both came out to say hello.

And as always they come up to the fence for a head rub and sit down for a while, I have definately enjoyed their company during my lunch breaks!

Karla - 27th August 2012

Here is a small set of photos that I am rather proud with of Karla. I don't normally have an opportunity to take photos in this enclosure through the fencing, but I was delighted to see here in just the right position in order for me to do so.

As you can see she really is a stunning lioness (just like all, you could say!) I also think that she is still very different to her daughter, Safina. As can't be seen by these photos Karla is getting a bit round as she approaches middle aged, something most lions tend to experience as they get older, however one thing is for sure, they definately can't get any lazier!

Zuri & Safi - 27th June 2012

So here are my photos from the 27th June. I have now started my work experience at Linton Zoo, so this allows me to take photos of the lions outside visitor hours, so I have some fantastic oppurtunities with no visitors around!

As you can see the lions do come down and see me now, all I have to do is call them, and they come down or out of the house and say hello, how very lucky I am!

What a superb looking lion he is.

So here is another usual set of photos of the pair, and I will definately have loads more to come over my work experience placement over the Summer!

Another thing to say on here, is that Zuri is finally reached the stage where he really is top dog, and completely fully grown, it really does stun me how much of a powerful looking individual he is as you can see by these photos.
